Our Vision

Robert Simon has over 24 years of land development and construction industry law experience. He represents developers of both residential and commercial real estate projects, advising clients from the development concept stage through completion. Rob also represents clients in matters involving construction defects and other construction performance failures. This vast experience turned into a passion to modernize construction development, design, and engineering processes. He envisions building science creating safer, more efficient buildings. Rob resides in Orlando, Florida.

Florian Antretter is an accomplished building physicist with more than 70 widely cited published works during more than two decades in the field. Florian has deep experience leading and managing interdisciplinary teams as researcher and manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics, Germany and the Oak Ridge National Lab, USA specializing in the analysis of dynamic heat and moisture behavior of buildings. He has been responsible for the development of WUFI Plus and WUFI Passive, a hygrothermal whole building simulation tool commercially available and applied worldwide. In his spare time he enjoys the mountains close to his home in Raubling, Bavaria, Germany.

Laurel Barry has over 28 years of practice representing clients in a wide range of areas including commercial litigation, construction law, construction defect litigation, complex personal injury, Qui Tam whistleblower matters, and employee/employer disputes. This breadth of experience was critical to the success of Pursiano Barry et al’s expansion from Las Vegas to a nationwide practice. She received her B.A. at the University of San Francisco and J.D. from California Western School of Law. Laurel and her husband Dave reside in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Todd Demetriades has over 20 years of experience practicing law in the construction industry, representing residential and commercial property owners, governmental entities, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and individuals in construction matters. Years of experience has put him at the forefront of using building science tools in the field of construction defect litigation. Todd graduated from the University of Florida College of Law. He lives in Orlando with his family. Todd also won a world championship in the sport of Ultimate playing for Team USA in 2003.

David Pursiano is a 35 plus year trial lawyer with an established practice focused on residential and commercial clients in the areas of construction law, construction defect litigation and insurance coverage disputes. Through his experience, he has developed an acute understanding of building design and construction failure and a vision for improving building design to be safer, more reliable, and cost effective. In conjunction with Uber Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and the Fraunhofer Institute of Building Physics, his law firm received the HPC Wire 2018 Editor’s Choice Award for “Best Use of HPC in the Cloud” applying high performance computing to parametric simulations in the successful prosecution of a construction defect lawsuit. As managing partner of Pursiano Barry Bruce Demetriades Simon LLP, Dave has overseen the expansion and operation of a Las Vegas based law firm to a national practice. Dave and his wife Laurel reside in Las Vegas, NV.
